My professional experience as a licensed clinical social worker for over 20 years lies in helping grieving families, including families with children, who are facing medical complexities and serious illness, which can often include healthcare trauma, caregiver stress, self-doubt, and grief. This can certainly be isolating, create tensions in relationships, and make the day to day demands of life feel overwhelming.
In my work, I’ve developed a humanist and relational approach to supporting individuals. My style is heavily informed by an attachment perspective and a steadfast belief that everyone holds an evolving story - a story that deserves being told, deserves being honored. Understanding that the needs of each individual seeking therapy is unique, I pull from a variety of modalities in my work, including acceptance and commitment therapy, CBT, DBT, family systems and mindfulness.
Overall, my goal as a therapist is to provide a safe space for clients to uncover resilience in the midst of challenging circumstances and to find meaning while navigating steps forward. I am committed to a culturally humble practice that is trauma informed, neurodivergent and gender expansive affirming, and authentic.
Please know that I appreciate the immense vulnerability in seeking therapy, and I care that my experience is a good clinical fit for your situation and needs.
If you are looking for professional mental health support along with a sense of safety, kindness, and warmth, I welcome the opportunity to help with your care.
I am accepting new clients.
